Without a doubt, in addition to radio, there is no effective film in cinema and television today that does not benefit from the valuable effects of professional sound recording and voiceover. Identifying and correctly using sound effects is a requirement for sound and image editing. This article focuses on familiarizing yourself with sound effects in Adobe Audition. Sound effects by application Given that ADOBE is one of the pioneers in producing useful, professional, and practical software in audio and video editing, this article discusses the topic of sound effects in various parts of ADOBE AUDITION software. Identifying the location of sound effects and frequently used menus increases the speed and ease of the editor's work. There are several folders in the program menu under the effect topic, each of which contains a number of sound effects, and several effects are not in any folder. Several effects that are used most often are listed again in the favorites menu. By adding a sound plug-in such as: iZotope – RX7 Audio, new effects are added to the sound effects in ADOBE AUDITION software. In the Wave form section of the Audition software, you can select a part of the sound file by dragging the mouse on the sound waveform, otherwise the entire sound file is selected.

All sound effects are active in the waveform section In the Multi track and Mix sections of the Audition program, it is not possible to select a part of the sound to apply the effect. You can only cut and click on the desired piece and click the active effect Some sound effects are not implemented in the Multi track and Mix sections By selecting effects that do not have settings, the sound effects are immediately applied to the sound, and for effects that have settings, click the Apply button after the settings. In the settings of some sound effects, there is a Preset item (i.e., it is set with the manufacturer's desired settings and in several effects) from which you can select the settings. The sound effects in Audition are: Invert (reverse / means inverting the phase of the sound wave) If the sound playback is very muffled, it may be due to the inversion of the sound phase. By selecting this effect, the sound playback becomes clearer. It is better to use the Noise Reduction folder and the Automatic Phase Correction effect instead. Reverse (reverse) The sound is played in reverse, that is, from the end to the beginning. Silence (silence) creates silence in a selected section of the sound wave. The Generate folder has 3 sound effects: Noise (annoying sound / annoying sound / humming sound) Speech (speech) Tones (tone of sound - a specific resonance of sound such as a continuous beep and there are different tones in its preset section) By selecting each of them, that sound file is established. Match loudness Whenever we want to match the loudness of a sound to the loudness of another sound, click this effect and in its settings window, click on Drag and Drop and open the other sound file and click the Run button. Vocal booster (singer's voice booster in music) Speech Volume leveler (adjusting the ambient sound level in speech and speech) Delay and Echo (delaying and echoing sound) By selecting each and adjusting feedback (feedback and reflection) and adjusting delay (delay time) and Adjusting the percentage of the sound echo with the original sound, the number of echoes at the end of words and its volume and the delay time for the sound echo are established And you can also choose an item from the Preset. Diagnostics folder (diagnostics section) with effects such as: De Clicker (removing the clicking sound) De Clipper (cutting the loud part of the sound that causes distortion / damage to the sound) Delete Silence (removes all silent parts of the sound). Filter and EQ folder (Smoothing / Effects and Equalizer / Balancing and Equalization) Changes the percentage of sound frequencies that change the sound resonance. With effects such as: FFT (sound filters that give a specific resonance to the sound such as: telephone sound or the sound reverberation from playing a cassette tape or the sound reverberation from under the stairs or from underwater) Graphic Equalizer (Graphic Frequency Balancing and Changing) is divided into 3 sections with 10 bands (bands) of frequencies, with 20 bands of frequencies, and with 30 bands of frequencies Notch Filter (frequency cut) which is mostly for cutting frequencies below 60 Hz (noise is usually in this section) Parametric Equalizer (Equalization of indices) Changes the frequency index and the amplification and attenuation index and the amplitude index (loudness) of the sound. Modulation folder with sound effects such as: Chorus Flanger. By selecting and adjusting each of them, the sound reverberation is superimposed on the main sound Phase adds a special reverberation to the background and words, such as selecting the Log Drummer effect in the Preset section Noise Reduction/Restoration folder includes the following effects: Noise Reduction, for better performance, first select the empty noise section without words and music on the sound wave, and then in the settings window of this effect, click the Capture Noise Print button to record the noise type in memory, then select the entire sound wave with the control keys and from the keyboard, now click the Noise Reduction effect. Learn Sound Model If there is a continuous annoying sound like an ambulance siren on the main sound, first select its range, then click this effect, and then use the (Sound Remover) effect. Sound Remover | Sound Remover / means annoying sound. This effect works even if you do not select the annoying sound range. In its settings window, in the Preset section, there is a sound removal such as high noise / oh and oh sound / cell phone ringing sound. Click / Pop Eliminator | Click and Pop Eliminator and its Presets Crackle Removal Hiss Reduction DeNoise Adaptive Noise Reduction Automatic Click Remover Automatic Phase Correction DeHummer DeReverb | Removes reverberation from places where sound reverberates, such as bathrooms, narrow hallways, large halls, and completely empty rooms. Reverb folder with effects such as studio/open-air reverberation and reverberation settings. The Special folder has effects such as: Distortion distorts the sound, meaning it is out of its natural state. Doppler Shifter creates different sound rotation modes by selecting a curve shape close to a circle from the Path Type item in the settings window of this effect and selecting an effect from the preset section. Guitar Suite adds the selected ambient resonance to the sound by selecting sound effects in the preset. Stereo Imagery folder has sound effects such as Center Channel Extractor, which can remove the music or singer's voice by reducing it to its maximum and adjusting its frequency. In the Preset section, selecting the Vocal Remove effect leaves only the music and removes the singer's voice. Stereo Expander (expander in two-channel sound) can transmit sound only in the left or right channel.
